Method #1: Turn your Instagram Account Privacy Setting to Private
Instagram has two privacy setting option for an account, which is Public and Private.
By setting your account privacy to Public, everybody can visit your profile and as well view the number of followers that you have therein. Including your day-to-day activities on the page.
On the other hand, if you set your IG account privacy setting to PRIVATE, that means people who are not your followers won’t be able to view your profile, let alone see the number of followers that you have.
However, if your IG handle represents a brand, using the Private option is not advisable as it might in one way or the other be harmful to your brand’s visibility and other stuff.
However, this method can be used to control your Instagram account privacy on who sees your profile or not.

However, if you want to use this option of removing the person, you will still need to implement method #1, which is to set your account to private. So that after removing them, they won’t be able to interact with your profile or followers. In that case, you will hide your followers from them.
You can however still remove someone as your follower even when you have already set your IG account to private.
Here is how to remove someone from the list of your Instagram followers;
Open your Instagram app and go to your profile page, locate and click “Followers”, and scroll to where you have the name of the person that you want to remove, beside the person’s profile name on your followers list, you will see the “Remove” button. STEP 1: Log in to your Instagram account using either the app or desktop
STEP 2: Access your profile page and then go to your followers. So you can see the names of people following and possibly spot the name of the person you want to block.
N/B; If the process seemed tedious, simply locate the search bar on your Instagram dashboard and search for the name of the person you want to block.
STEP 3: Once you vet the account, click on it to view the person’s profile.
STEP 4: At the top right-hand corner of the person profile, that’s beside the name, you will see “Three dots”
STEP 5: Tap the three dots and a list of some lined menus will be displayed including “Block”
STEP 6: Scroll to where you have the “Block” option and click on it.
That’s it! You have successfully blocked the user account. So, they won’t be able to see your profile and followers even if your account is set to Public or Private.
